Carter Ware is a Vice President at Americana Partners, where he supports the firm’s alternative investment platform. Before joining Americana, he was part of the Infrastructure & Asset-Based Credit group at Blackstone, investing across debt and equity opportunities within the energy and infrastructure sectors and supporting capital formation and new product development.

Earlier in his career, Carter served on the Private Markets team at the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, where he evaluated and managed investments in funds, direct, and co-investment opportunities across private equity, natural resources, and real estate. He also represented the organization on several limited partner advisory committees.

Carter earned his B.A. from the University of Virginia and his M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
