Franklin is a private wealth advisor with Americana Partners and has over three decades of investment management experience. He spent 12 years as a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Corient Wealth Management (formerly Avalon), where he focused on delivering customized wealth strategies for clients. Before Corient, Franklin served as Lead Manager of the Invesco/AIM High Income Municipal Bond Fund for 15 years.

Earlier in his career, he was Associate Portfolio Manager for the American Capital High Yield Municipal Fund from 1990 to 1997, during its transition to Van Kampen under Morgan Stanley. Franklin began his investment career in 1985 in the Treasury Department of Electronic Data Systems, gaining experience in financial markets and capital management.

He earned both his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Texas at Dallas.
