Mike Mitchell
Chief Financial Officer
Mike Mitchell serves as Chief Financial Officer of Americana Partners, where he provides financial leadership across the organization and oversees the firm’s capital strategy, financial operations, and long-term growth initiatives.
Mike brings extensive experience in corporate finance and operational leadership within the financial services and private lending industries. Over the course of his career, he has held progressive leadership roles with several Fortune 500 companies, including Toyota Financial Services, Wachovia Bank, and AT&T. He has also served as Chief Financial Officer for multiple private equity-backed businesses, helping guide organizations through periods of growth and transformation while positioning them for successful private equity exits.
Prior to joining Americana Partners, Mike served as Chief Financial Officer of Merit Financial Advisors, where he played a key role in the firm’s strategic growth. During his tenure, Merit completed more than 30 M&A transactions and successfully recapitalized the firm with a new private equity sponsor.
At Americana Partners, Mike is responsible for overseeing the firm’s financial strategy and ensuring disciplined financial management across the organization. His areas of focus include revenue growth, expense management, margin expansion, liquidity planning, M&A activity, legal oversight, and shareholder relations.
Mike holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Florida State University. He is actively involved in charitable and educational initiatives and serves on the board of Admiral Farragut Academy, where he is Chairman of the Finance Committee and Treasurer.
